Leading with kindness. ..

I recently put in my two weeks at an amazing restaurant. Great food and awards but the environment is toxic. Constant shouting and berating. The servers are treated like garbage. I get micro managed needlessly and everyone seems to get off on calling eachother fucking idiots. I hate that in leaving with no replacement but I deserve better.

Is it a false hope for me to want to change the industry culture? I love cooking but the constant abuse is unbearable. I be the change I want to see. I don't shoUT, I say please and thank you, I always let my staff know when they do a good job, I bring treats when I can. .. the last job I had before this I supervised 4-5 people on my station and came into his, my team worked for me with a smile on their faces and were genuinely happy to see me. I never said a bad word to them, and corrected mistakes kindly. Is this feasible to bring to restaurants?
