Hi all,
Baking question! When a muffin/quickbread recipe says to bake them until a toothpick/skewer comes out clean, does that mean it needs to be 100% clean? I notice that some recipes specifically indicate that "a few moist crumbs are okay" (or something to that effect), whereas others just say that the skewer should be clean.
I imagine that this could vary by recipe, but generally some level of moisture is desirable in these baked goods so I figure if you aren't getting crumbs you may have actually overbaked it? Particularly since they likely continue cooking out of the oven... But I'm not sure, hence why I am here asking you wonderful people. :)
Hope this made sense!
