A little background : I (23F) met this amazing guy(29M) about 40 days ago, and we hit it off instantly the moment we met. Since I've been on a lot of dates that didn't really work out, I could tell he's really one of few guys I click with, and he told me he felt the same.
We got intimate on our 2nd date, and since then I'd spend 4-5 days of week at his place, cooking, going to concerts, and exploring manhattan together. He even invited me to his corporate holiday party as his plus one and introduced me to his coworkers. We even got each other some holiday gifts.
But technically, we're not exclusive yet. Before he was leaving New York to Mexico last week for holidays for 2.5 weeks, he asked me 'are you gonna start dating other guys while I'm gone'. I just stared at him with blank eyes, and said 'no'. And he was like 'score!!'. And I told him I'm a bit offended by the question, he said 'It seems like we're not seeing other people, but does that mean we're exclusive? ...I don't know'
I'm confused as in if he's not into me enough to go exclusive or is afraid of getting hurt by committing to the relationship... or both.
I'm currently waiting on him to be back from Mexico in first week of January, and he's been sending me pictures from there keeping in touch with me every day. And I'm still thinking, if he didn't feel strongly enough about me to go exclusive, why am I even waiting on him? Is it even worth it?
Am I wasting my time on a guy who's never gonna be on the same page as me? What should I do?
