Made it through a Christmas Dinner being the only sober person!

I made it through my personal prime drinking event for the first time in 10 years: preparing a big holiday meal for friends.

A bottle of wine while cooking a feast for hours and then another bottle after eating it have pretty much been my favorite things in the universe.

I did it yesterday without drinking. Even after a friend brought me a special pack of beer (I am totally an obligation drinker & eater who has strange hangups about saying 'no'). I kept my glass of iced tea in my hand and I am so pleased. I remember everything I said yesterday, I didn't share any secrets I wasn't supposed to and I have no hangover.

AND... I will not drink today, not even at the holiday party I am attending this evening.
