Affenpinchser - A Great Toy Dog Breed
Discover A Great Training Program: http://newstoreview.com/Brain-Trainin...
If you are looking to hear comments about your dog all the time about how they look you may want to consider the Affenpinscher. This is an older breed, but it is starting to come back as one of the dogs that you are going to see becoming popular. Some people have even commented that this breed is the hidden secret they hope the rest of the world never finds out about. As a breed the Affenpinscher is starting to get a following that is very loyal in Europe and slowly spreading to North America. What is really interesting is how this dog has come about as being a great toy breed of dogs, but one that you are sure to fall in love with.
The history of the Affenpinscher is typically traced back to Germany and it will be one that sees this as a fun loving dog. What is really nice is this is a very versatile dog who can adapt to many different situations from a city apartment to patrolling the farm fields with the farm owner. You may hear some people call this dog an Affen, which can be traced back to the German language and often means ape or mock. This can be a great reach to the way the dog can look like a monkey in the face at times. However, some people consider this as to why it is called the money terrier. A key point to realize is the Affenpinscher tends to reflect the look and the mocking in its name. The face of the Affen, the affectionate name the breeders have given this dog, is going to have a scrufy look to the fact, but it will have a full frame on the face. You will notice that a favorite activity people have for this dog is to have it dance on its hind legs. You will also find that after you get the stare from the dog they tend to run off to see if they can get a smile on your face. To add to the feeling of the monkey look you will see the eyes are full and dark, but they have a short muzzle that leads to an undershot with the lower teeth that makes it look like the dog is constantly pouting.
Since this is a toy breed you will find it is going to have a smaller height range of about 9 to 12 inches. The body will remind you of a Minecraft character as it is square and thicker in shape. You will notice that the ribs are going to remind you more of an egg, instead of the barrel you may be used to seeing. As we mention in the video the dogs tend to come in about twelve pounds on the high side. These dogs are not that long. When you look at the Affenpinscher dogs or puppies you will notice the legs are straight and should not be bowed out, but also will be equal in length so they will walk properly. A problem that is common among all toy breeds is the kneecaps tend to slip out of place as the dogs get older causing quite a bit of pain in the lower legs. This is why buying an Affenpinscher puppy from a breeder it is important to ask to see the parents to see if they are lame at all because the luxation of the kneecaps is often seen as being genetic in origin.
You will find the color of Affenpinschers usually is going to be tan, black, gray, and the belge color we mentioned in the video. If you get a tan or even a gray dog you will find they tend to have a black or dark gray face. Black is the common color so if you are getting a tan or lighter colored Affenpinscher the price may be a little bit more. What is really cool with the black dogs is they tend to get a reddish brown type of color as they mature.
