About me: I like hot baths in the cold winter. I like hot tea all the time. I like coffee when I'm on the edge of desperation. I'd like to write, but never find the motivation. I bite my finger nails. I sing too much. I find it easy to day dream, but hard to achieve most dreams. Baking is relaxing. Cooking is rewarding. Dogs are better than cats. I have a kid. I prefer wine over beer. And gin is my liquor of choice. Cards against humanity is great, monopoly is masochistic, but I love it. I don't do laundry enough. I hate wearing socks. 19 M4F- New Year, New Friends! Let's build something long lasting!

Good afternoon all you party animal Redditors. I'd like to wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope the year ahead is one full of joy and happiness! Thank you in advance for reading my post.

I'm here , searching for those who want something beyond a one night conversation. Thoughtful, heart to heart, down to earth conversation is highly desired. I'm searching not only for a long term friend, but also for someone I can connect with, share my life with and hopefully share a memory or two with. There's nothing better than waking up and talking to that one person you KNOW will put a smile on your face. I hope that you'll connect with something I write here and that we in turn can connect together.

I'm a child of the Midwest USA. Suburban City life surrounded by the occasional country time has been the norm for me. As someone fresh out of high school and into their first year of higher education, I'm actively working towards a purpose. Sometimes,however, I feel like I'm on the journey alone. People move, friendships end, people leave and life changes. I'm searching for someone to not only fill the void, but to also grow with, connect with and hopefully allow me to make them smile.

I made the decision in early November this year, to devote my life to public service. For as long as I can remember, I've had a desire to not only help others, but to also serve my community and make an impact on the world. The pay often times sucks, the condition can be nasty and sometimes the community you work in can be dangerous. However, in my mind, the hardships are worth it. The AF Pararescue special forces unit has a motto. The creed they follow every day is "So that others may live". I know for a fact there's a 95% chance I'll never join (or be allowed in due to uncontrollable circumstances) the military. However, I plan to follow that creed for as long as I live.

Fitness is another big keystone in my life. Working in a physical public service field requires you to be as physically fit as possible. A year an a half ago I was 80 lbs overweight and at one of the lowest points in my life. Today I've dropped the entirety of that weight and am actively working to build back up with the goal of gaining as much strength and minimal fat as possible before the summer. Currently I'm on a 5x a week program which I am to stick with before perhaps switching to full on powerlifting in the years ahead. Fitness has not only helped me physically but also mentally. Confidence is everything, and I'm happy to say it improves it.

In terms of hobbies I actively enjoy watching my favorite sports (Football and Soccer), reading, seeing a new movie (War of the planet of the apes anyone?), Playing video games (Currently BF1 on the PS4), cooking and spending time out doors (Winter is going to put a hold on that). Keeping an open mind to new opportunities and passions is important to me.

While not a requirement, I would very strongly prefer that those I talk to be single. For your sake and for mine, I would like to avoid any unwanted drama. I've had too many bad experiences with unsuspecting SOs or people not telling me ahead of time. So please, for everyone's sanity!

In terms of actual conversation topics, I'm sure there's something in common between us (I'd STRONGLY prefer there'd me). If you've actually read this far, I'd say there's a good chance i have a few thoughts turning inside your head. I, personally am open to discussing anything and everything, no matter the topic. I am always here to help, give advice, comfort and simply chat whenever possible. I personally do not care if our conversations are clean or dirty. If however you'd like to flirt, I'd ask you are 18+. No exceptions on that one.
