How Hot Is A Campfire

I have always thought that a campfire was just a small little thing for roasting marshmallows on. Then I went camping one day and was actually shocked at how hot a campfire can get. The heat from the small little fire ring was rather intense and this made me go home to check out how hot is a campfire. That is when I found an article at Today's Camping Gear that you can read here  that is going to tell you how how a campfire can reach. All I have to say is I was a little shocked that it would get so warm!
