Hey there :) I'm William. It's new years and im spending it more or less alone which is pretty sucky, normally I'd be on here looking for someone I could possibly start a relationship whit but tonight if you just want to chat I'd love to.
I live in far north Australia and have just moved to Cairns. I spent the last three years working as hospital security while I was studying at James Cook University. I love the outdoors, mainly due to the fact I live in a striking part of the country.
I like to play basketball (though I am utterly terrible) and swim to stay fit. I love Olympic lifting and can't stand using machines. I will also occasionally force myself to suffer through a run. I recently got to go SCUBA diving for the first time on the Great Barrier Reef which was amazing
When it comes to TV I like sci-fi, horror and police shows. At the moment I am mainly watching Gotham and Luther. Some other things I have watched recently: Hemlock Grove, Longmire, Lucifer, Constantine, Archer, Bojack Horseman, The Line of Duty and Generation Kill.
I really enjoy reading particularly non-fiction/history and sci-fi. I most recently read The Poetic Edda, a collection of Icelandic folk stories which I found to be very good, I'm also reading a series called the Horus Heresy. Some other books I have enjoyed: A Fortunate Life, Exit Wounds, The Sword of Truth series, Toad Rage (a favourite from when I was young, hands down the most Queensland/Australian book ever) and the Septimus Heap series. I collect warhammer 40k and really enjoy the setting, I particularly find painting to be an awesome way to relax while listening to podcasts.
Music wise I'm a metal head at heart and have been for years, though I have lately started to enjoy jazz and blues as atmospheric music to have playing in the house throughout the day. I also really enjoy classic rock. I do listen to a bit of everything though I'm alway happy to spend some time watching movies and have a real love for low budget terrible horror and action films.
My other biggest hobby is cooking, my favourite three things to cook are: Gumbo, home made pies and ribs/bbq. I really enjoy hosting people for drinks and food, I'm very much a social person and I can't think of a better way to spend an evening then with friends around a good feed and cold drinks. I love talking in depth about nerdy or intellectual things, so I hope you do to. Relationship wise I'm pretty old fashion and will insist on paying for things, holding doors, cooking meals and giving surprise gifts. I do really enjoy spoiling the person I care about as much as I realistically can so its important you like that You would definitely be a caring and romantic person who enjoys the idea of working together to build a strong future, you'll also be hard working as I really like ambition and challenge.
I get quite bored quickly if life is stagnant, I subscribe to the theory that challenges make you into a better stronger person. So :P if you have made it this far I would love to hear from you, maybe start with where you work or what you study ? If not why don't you tell me your favourite place in your local area to relax ? Also here's a picture of me :) if you don't mind I'd love a picture of you too just so I can imagine who im talking to :P
