Why do we love Breaking Bad so much?

I had heard about the show a long time ago, that it was must-watch television. I didn't see the appeal of the plot line - dying man turns to cooking meth to provide for his family. It didn't sound like it would resonate. I just finished watching the series for the first time. As many others on here have said, I wish I could erase my memory and go back and experience it again. So many amazing things about the show. The plot twists and turns that leave you feeling like you just got off a rollercoaster. The symbolism of colors. The richness in the development of the characters, especially Walt (even though I was convinced I was just going to grow to hate him more and more). The comedic relief, courtesy of Jesse and Saul. The crazy action scenes that kept you on the edge of your seat. The utter lack of predictability in the plot. And most of all, the extreme attention to detail - so many little Easter eggs and foreshadowing that you catch if you're paying attention. What was your favorite aspects of the show?
