So I got a large conch from the fish market and I'm going to make a traditional Chinese soup with it. Usually I have the fishmonger break the shell and extract the meat for me, but the shell on today's one is really pretty and I want to keep it. If I boil it then I can extract the meat, but will it damage the shell? Also once I'm done with the meat then what do I do to clean and preserve the shell? Thanks in advance!!
