Midori spends a blissful night camping out with her squad somewhere between Konoha and the eastern coast of the Land of Fire. She wakes early in the morning with the sun, because it's damn hard to sleep with sunlight shining all over the place, and immediately sets to work cooking up an incredibly large quantity of food over a cooking fire. While one might suspect the food is all for her, it's also for her squad, as she's not quite so hungry/selfish as to not prepare high quality breakfast noms for the members of her team.
