[LORE] Black Shirts, Wild Boys, Carter Kids, and Dominion Darlings, The Organizations Of The Peace & Reconciliation Party.

[The Following is a short laundry list of various organizations to be found in the Virginia Dominion.]

The Peace & Reconciliation Party (Pax Party) - Dominant political party of the Virginia Dominion. Evolved from the Virginia Commune for Peace & Reconciliation, the founding organization of the nation.The Party claims that the old world was destroyed by the foolishness and arrogance of the tyrannical political class, who stayed in power with the backing of a shadowy cabal of worldwide financiers. This cabal somehow survived the Flood, and continue to fund anti-populist, apocalyptic dictators that seek to enslave the world once more. The Pax Party glorifies the achievements of American heroes that have destroyed tyranny, such as Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and the Carter Brothers. The Party is strong when its individual members are strong and right-minded. Personal success outside the party framework is viewed with hostility and suspicion. Currently the Pax Party controls 98% of the Grand Assembly, sharing power with the Frontier Justice Party and the American Sovereignty Party.

Defenders of the Peace (Black Shirts) - The Paramilitary wing of the Pax Party, the Defenders of the Peace grew out of the original fighting wing of the Virginia Commune of Peace & Reconciliation. Currently the Black Shirts have been fully integrated into the Armed Forces of Virginia, forming elite fighting units and serving as an ideological ideal for the rest of the armed forces. Black Shirt officers are found in the staff of any Dominion commanding officer, to ensure that the lure of tyranny does not alienate any brave Virginia generals from the nation's goals.

Virginia Youth Squad (Wild Boys) - Male youth wing of the Peace & Reconciliation Party. Membership begins at age 12 and is mandatory, excepting medical or extreme rural situations. The Wild Boys are organized along the lines of the old Boy Scouts organization, abet with a greater focus on the ideological foundation of the Virginia Dominion and learning about our national heroes. Wild Boys learn how to lead and how to be led, how to survive in and navigate the fierce American wilderness, and how to identify sedition at the home front. Once a year all Virginia Youth Squads converge at the Wild Boy Jamboree, where festivities and war games are held, concluding with an orienteering competition in search of the remains of the tyrant Blue Dog Bradshaw. Leaders from among the Wild Boys often go on to become brave members of the Black Shirts.

Daughters of the Dominion (Dominion Darlings) - Female Youth Wing of the Peace & Reconciliation Party. Girls join at age 12 and learn household fundamentals of sewing, firearms maintenance, cooking, and mixing explosives. Young women are taught the fundamentals of Virginia values, as well as the basics of self- and national defense. Promising Dominion Darlings over the age of 15 are invited to social outings with high ranking teenage Wild Boys, in an effort to ensure that the most promising young people of our nation have equally promising spouses.

Dominion Daycare Service (Carter Kids) - While not nominally under the control of the Pax Party, the Dominion Daycare Service has a very ideological take on young-child care. Open to any Dominion child age 2 - 11, Dominion Daycare Service is primarily a coed childcare service for working families and is not mandatory, although it is offered at no cost to parents. Carter Kids are taught how to read & write, how to engage socially, and how to identify inequality and relate their lessons to the policies of the state. Bullying goes unpunished within the Carter Kids, as it is considered the responsibility of the individual child to respond to threats to their own personal sovereignty.
