As some of you know, I joined your community out of personal interest, but also out of academic purpose for my master thesis.
What are you preparing if you want to make a nice lunch/dinner for your omnivore friends? When I was fully vegetarian I was not cooking anything with meat, as I think I didn't have to. Now that I am very flexible with my nutrition, I thought I would care less. But the opposite happened, somehow I want to show them, that there are great alternatives.
For that reason I create some nice recipes but I am also using frequently vegetarian "minced meat", "tofu sausages" and vegetarian "chicken slices". Are you doing it similarly or are you avoiding to prepare food that imitates meat?
