BDO Cash Shop Guide - Feb 2017

Reminder:

Try to wait out sales to save a lot of money.

 

This is my first attempt to create a complete guide on what you can gain from purchasing items out of the cash shop (EU/NA). I wanted to first list all items that grant meaningful buffs but I think I will wait with that after the Kamasilve expansion. What I will give here is the second part of my guide, a listing on what you can purchase based on limited pearl amounts/money. I also will list the gained buffs you will get from spent money to let people evaluate themselves whether the increased costs are worth the benefits. With decreasing order to sort of indicate relevance for the game. I didn’t include the loyalty items as everyone can purchase them after playing a while.

 

• 4x pets = 3600 pearls T1= loots every 4s (based on pet+lvl10) +passive skills (detects resources, decreased chance on getting desert debuff, etc.) Must have for any PvE grinding.

• weight +200 = 1700 pearls Must have for any PvE grinding.

Base package = 5300 pearls (~53€)

 

Excluded since these are running costs, can be higher/lower, also isn’t Must have in the beginning. +value pack 30days = 1500 (Account wide: Inventory+16, Storage+16, all exp+10%, distant node investment, weight+100, 30% bonus MP silver collection, Merv Palette+Beauty Salon) Gets a lot more relevant once you trade more items, Must have later into the game!

 

• weight +150 = 1350 pearls (semi) Must have for any PvE grinding.

• 2x Storage Maid = 2400 pearls Will make some things a lot easier (lets you store items, money, pick up pots, etc.). Must have for pirate grinding!

PvE grinding package = 9050 pearls (~90€)

 

• weight +100 = 1000

• weight +50 = 600 Grinding will be more enjoyable+Processing/Gathering/Fishing/etc. will be a lot more enjoyable.

• 4x pets = 3600 pearls chances on T2-3 T3=loots every 3s (based on pet+lvl10) +more skills (cooking exp+, HP recovery+, etc.) Lets you farm more efficiently+more small buffs.

• Inventory Expansion +16 = 1450 Imo you won’t need inventory expansions for the most part, this is mainly convenvience. Still listed relatively high because Must have for fishing.

• 2x Storage Maid 1x Transaction Maid = 3600 pearls Will make some things even easier, see above.

Advanced PvE grinding+life skill package = 19.300 pearls (~193€)

 

• Worker Lodging +1 =200 (x3 capped = 600) (Can be purchased for 5 different cities = +15 workers total = 1800 pearls) Grants more passive income over regular players.

• Storage Slot Expansion Coupon +8 = 300 (2-3cities +8Storage = +16-24Slots. 5 types of coupon = 3+3+2+2+2 = 12 cities. 12x8 = 88slots = 1500 pearls) Saves you a lot of CP that can be used to increase passive income further. There are bundles so check them out first.

• Canape Costume Set = 2200 (Regular outfit buffs such as +10% combat exp, +cooking exp 15%, +cooking time -2s) Probably the best outfit in the game, not only for cooking.

• Desert Camouflage Premium Set = 3400 (+50% Desert Disease Resistance, +name hidden) Probably the 2. best outfit. A lot higher convenience farming in the Valencian Desert.

• Splat Fishers Clothes Set/Diving Set = 2200 (+1 Fishing, +swim speed, -stamina consumption) See it as you’re paying for a whole expansion. Must have to enjoy Margoria Expansion.

High End PvE grinding+life skill package = 30.400 pearls (~304€)

 

• Venecil Dress Set = 2200 (Processing items in your storage, increased processing success) Helps with processing and higher profits.

• Venia Riding Attire = 2200 (+20% horse exp gain) Helps with leveling up horses faster.

• Horse Gear Set/Camel = 2000 (+small buffs such as +1% speed, increased chances of learning skills for your horse) Small horse buffs and better chances for learning skills.

• Horse Flute (permanent, only for one char!) = 1500 (lets you call your horse from a greater distance) Sometimes very very convenient.

• 4x pets = 3600 pearls chances on T4 T4=loots every 2,5s (based on pet+lvl10) +more skills (cooking exp+, HP recovery+, etc.) Lets you farm the most efficient+even more small buffs.

• Underwear = 700 (+1 Luck buff) Can save you one crystal slot and enable you to run more dmg for farming.

• Accessory = 500 (+chance of gaining knowledge) Who doesn’t want that sweet S-Rank?

• Item brand spell stone x6 = 2000 (-33% repair cost, -50% durability consumption) You can only buy two of them for your Awakening/Offhand if you want. Some classes like Ranger can’t farm effectively without this item.

You are finished = 45.100 pearls (~451€)

 

Honorable mention:

• Horse Skill Change Coupons = 250 (Lets you reset one skill of your horse) I personally wouldn’t invest too much into them. Only if you want to have a perfect T7/8 or a chance on getting a T9 you have to purchase a lot of them.

 

Note that there are a lot more things you could buy from the Pearl Shop. Some of them will grant you more very very small buffs but aren’t relevant to be really decked out. I also wouldn’t recommend anyone to buy the regular premium outfits if you aim for advantages other than your looks.

 

To end this, here is a shortened summary on what you will get for 451€+monthly Value Packs:

• every 0,75-0,625s auto looting

• additional weight (otherwise you have to store items every 15-20min depending on clear speed)

• +30% money on the Market Place returns (is necessary otherwise you lose money on many trades)

• Maids (you need storage maids sometimes, as even additional weight won’t let you farm for longer periods of time if you don’t have a storage nearby)

• More inventory space (Is not necessary for the most part, if you want to fish/afk fish longer periods of time, you really need this)

• More workers than you could get without paying (more passive income)

• Storage space without spending CP (even more CP that can be used for passive income)

• Costumes to help processing, speed up cooking greatly, help grinding in the desert more conveniently, etc. (really helps with life-skilling a lot)

• Item branding (helps a lot with longer grinding, I even would recommend this over other purchases if you play a Ranger)

• and stuff that I maybe forgot sry :X
