[20s F] How can I get my [20F] roommate to stop talking to me in the common areas of our apartment?

My roommate doesn't speak English very well and I think she is using me to practice her English. We have very different personalities and after we stop being roommates I won't have any contact with her. We became roommates because the study abroad program put us together. Whenever I leave my room to use the bathroom or go in the kitchen to get a drink or cook food, she tries to talk to me. I told her I've very busy and don't have time to talk other than about issues affecting the house. She didn't listen to me. So I started wearing headphones and pretending I can't hear her and she still tries to talk to me. She doesn't get the point when I say I am busy and can't talk to her when cooking something.

Should I ask to move to a different apartment or work harder on ignoring her? I feel very uncomfortable and am starting to dread having to go the bathroom or use the kitchen.Should I change apartments or just ignore her when she starts talking to me?

I really dislike her for bothering me so much and not respecting my wishes. It annoys me even to say hi to her. Would the best thing to do be say "It's unfortunate that we're roommates. We wouldn't have chosen each other if we had a choice. But since we're forced to be roommates. I wish we could just ignore each other and pretend the other one doesn't exist. Anything otherwise is a waste of time since I'll won't even say hi to you if I see on the street after we're no longer roommates."

tl;dr: Should I change apartments or just ignore her when she starts talking to me?
