Le Creuset coated stone ware baking casserole dish for Christmas.

I got a Le Creuset coated stone ware baking casserole dish for Christmas and was wondering if I can use it to cook pork loin roasts, roast beef, lamb...? I read that these are not engineered to dry roast and that meats must be braised? I'm a single guy wish very limited cooking experience but I'd like to put a pork lion in it with some potatoes and carrots and hopefully come out with a good result. Anyone have any experience with Le Creuset dishes? Also can I make bread in it? Thanks.
