Cooking with bacon fat?

My fiancé and I cook most of our food from scratch. Whenever we make bacon, we save the fat and use it in place of butter. Let's be honest, it's delicious. If a recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of butter, I typically use 1 tablespoon of bacon fat.

How bad is this for us? I should also add that we are trying to switch over to a low-carb diet. Not keto, but low carb.
