Either step-up the talent on Cooks vs. Cons or just cancel it. It's an awful show in its current state.

I love the production and videography of the show. It looks exactly like Chopped.

But the contestants are awful. The 'cons' are just anyone who's better than average at cooking, and the 'pros' are bottom-tier chefs... or really anyone who works in a culinary facet.

This results in dumbed-down concepts like 'this is a taco battle, the secret ingredients you have to use are onion and cumin.'

And, on top of all of this, the show looks so fake. The final product is clearly just tiny clips strung together to make a somewhat coherent product.

If they built a better screening process for amateur contestants, they could then have better professional chefs compete against them in more challenging conditions. That would be ideal.

But if that's not possible, I hope the network just cancels it.
