Complicated situation, sorry. I'm going to be staying out of town in a hotel while attending a small one-day event. I usually make my bento the night before or the morning of if time permits. However, the event starts early and ends later in the afternoon. I won't have access to a kitchen with the exception of possibly a hotel cooler (no true refrigerator) and microwave. In this particular case, buying fast food is not an option.
I'm going to have to do all my bento cooking (lunch and breakfast) the morning before I leave for the event. It will sit in a car and then a hotel cooler until the next morning. Then the lunch portion will sit until around 12:30 pm that day.
So I was thinking beans and some grilled veggies or some tofu strips. But I even got worried about that. I'm so used to food that gets eaten within a couple hours that I don't know what I should do.
Am I just worrying too much? If not, what do I do?
Thanks in advance, guys!
TL;DR: My bentos will sit for more than 24 hours in less than ideal conditions. What do I pack so I don't die of food poisoning?
