When I try to cook following recipes I find online, even when I vigorously shake off as much flour as I can, I notice that there will be some spots of flour that don't cool unless I drizzle some oil over them.
Even when I don't over fill the air fryer, so that no pieces are touching, I can't get a uniformly cooked surface.
