Is there an up to date complete guide?

Lot of the things are never explained, such as crafting/blacksmithing/cooking/etc. I'm 16 hours in and still don't understand these at all.

I'm still not really sure how to build my characters and I am struggling quite a bit. What traits to avoid, what traits to get, etc. Lot of the information out there is from the non-EE version.

I've heard as you level, some skill books become impossible to find on vendors so you need to know what to buy before you level too high.. Is this still true?

Surely there's a up to date guide somewhere for beginners?
