Dear r/India, Wishing everyone here a very happy and prosperous new year.
I have been having some problems with my body for the last two years. I am 25 [M] and I always used to feel bloated stomach and bowel irritation. I got myself checked up, but there was nothing serious, and I was asked to start exercising, be more fit, have more activity and start eating healthy food.
I also started researching on lactose intolerance, and recently there was a thread on r/India, and I must say, removing milk and milk products from my body has been immensely useful for me. I have never felt better. As of exercise, I have started doing the YAYOG workout (the app is really good).
I usually stay alone in my house, and initially I started cooking everything myself, Roti bhaji, daal chawal but slowly it became very difficult to continue cooking at home, and most of the time, I just ended up ordering something from the hotel nearby (Garlic naan, butter naan, masala and all).
Recently I made a trip to Germany and got a chance to understand the diet that they follow. Surprisingly it's very easy to make breakfast and dinner over there, as things are easily available nearby, and the diet mostly comprises of healthy bread, museli, coffee, sandwiches made of salami/ham/cheese etc. I really enjoyed the diet over there.
So all the fitness conscious people of r/India, please suggest foods that are easy to get, easy to make and are very healthy. I am thinking of lowering my carbs intake by dropping Rotis/Rice from my diet.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. I stay in Pune.
Thanks, have a great end to the year.
