I've bought a lamb shoulder joint to make myself a stew this evening. I was planning on just adding the usual potatoes, carrots, shallots, maybe a swede if I can bring myself to peel and cut it... Is there any amazing ingredient that really elevates a lamb stew that I could give a try for the first time?
