The other day, my girlfriend and I were making a dessert for Christmas, and the instructions basically changed before our eyes.. for both of us....
So the recipe originally said something along the lines of " don't line the pan with foil or parchment, it will cause problems with cooking and either way once dried, it will come off in one large sheet" I read it first, then when she went to set the pan up, I was like "didn't you read the recipe? Look it says not to use anything on the bottom" we both looked and I just chalked it off as her not being too careful with her reading and basically she missed the step. (Not the first time this could have happened). Fast forward about an hour or so and the item is to be removed from the sheet. And when we tried to remove it; it wouldn't budge.. so I was like " why would it tell us to not put stuff underneath it and then not have it come off easily? So maybe I missed something so back to the recipe... I nearly fell off the counter when I literally read the words in the exact place of the others saying "make sure to line underneath with aluminum" I was honestly so confused and in disbelief. I had no clue how this had happened. We both were really confused at how it changed (and no this was not a mistake reading it or whatnot) so the kicker of the whole thing is this; whilst re-reading the recipe, the pictures never showed any sort of foil, and specifically put it into the sheet itself... I have no clue what could have happened; she wasn't as interested as I and was like "hmm that's weird" but I don't see how it was even possible.
