This never happened until it got cold here. First they would stick but I could force them open with two-handed HARD pulling over and over (yeah, probably not good for the door but I have two kids to get into car seats!) Eventually they froze shut enough times that I couldn't open them at all, that I took it to the dealership. After 10 minutes running in our driveway, the drive to daycare, then drive to the dealership, plus 20+ minutes under their heaters, my passenger side sliding door FINALLY was opened. The dealership's advice was to put PAM cooking spray on the rubber seals once every winter. It seemed to help a bit but they've gotten stuck a few times since. These episodes seem to be happening when it's cold but independent of precipitation. Once they were fine in the (very cold) AM but wouldn't open when I got to daycare at 5:30 PM. It makes no sense. My friend bought the same van (nearly exact- color, year etc, just has a few more features like automatic doors) and it happens to her too. I feel like this shouldn't be happening!!! And I don't want to keep spraying my car with cooking oil! Any advice? It's a 2012 Sedona and both rear sliding doors are affected but moreso the passenger side.
