Hey all. This is just a little "thank you" from me today, because this sub has helped me cope with something that, yesterday, was freaking me out.
My mum texted on Friday to say she wouldn't make it to our usual Saturday morning breakfast as she thought she had a stomach bug. Today, being New Year's day, we'd already made plans for a big family Sunday dinner at her house (of course, her cooking is a terrible idea with a stomach bug, or even while recovering).
I'd already resigned to backing out and hiding in a quilt cocoon at my house all day, until my mum revealed that she hadn't actually thrown up at all throughout her sickness. Normally, even her being nauseous would have put me off coming over, but I re-read the pinned post about the facts and myths about stomach bugs and it reassured me that she isn't contagious if she hasn't actually v'd or d'd.
So this sub helped me have a happy, panic-free Sunday with my family. Thanks all, and happy new year!
