How to tell my (F48) wife that I (M50) need more attention?

Our sex went from once daily to couple times a week to once a month throughout the last 3 years. Now our 26 years old daughter had a baby who we babysit 5-6 days a week. Now I love my grandson but my wife went overboard and there's no sex since he was born 6 months ago. Everything is about him, he sleeps in our bed when he spends the night, my wife can't hold her attention on anything I'm saying, always on her phone uploading pictures she takes of him, says she has no time for me, most nights we go out to dinner, no more cooking. How can I break the news in a mild way?

TL;DR, My wife spends all her time and energy on our grandson, says there's no time for me anymore.

But the chicken, but the fridge

Hi all:

I put some frozen chicken down in the fridge to thaw. It was pre-seasoned and from the store, wrapped in plastic on one of those little styrofoam trays. I wrapped the package in saran wrap for good measure.

Well, I was invited to dinner by the boss and thought it would be a good opportunity, so I passed up making myself my chicken dinner. Next morning I realize my chicken is still in the fridge and has probably overthawed.

My question is should the plastic wrap of the chicken's packaging and extra layer of plastic wrap I gave it be enough to prevent contaminating anything else in the fridge nearby?

(Disclaimer: I was raised by a mother who practically prepared chicken in a HAZMAT suit, so if the question seems paranoid, know that I come by it honestly.) ;)

Greyhound GI problems - Help!

We adopted both our greyhounds late 2016 and we're still having tummy issues. Our male came to us with a very sensitive stomach diarrhea constantly (lots of general anxiety along with separation anxiety)- finally stabilized him and then we got our female 2 months later. Her tummy is awful- she rarely has good poops and they never last more then a few days if she does. We have to resort to mostly having her on prescription food right now because of flare ups are so bad sometimes she has blood in her stool - we've done a few different food brands including home cooking.

And of course wouldn't you know it- our male started with the diarrhea again this morning

The other thing tailed to all of this is our difficulty treating their hook worms! Damn will those fuckers ever go away? I'm talking months of treatment since they've been off the track (early fall)- Panacur has recently been doubled and they're both taking it every 2 weeks. Is there any hope for any of this?- what have you done? Please SOS the tummy situation rules my life! All my gf and I talk about is our greys poops and it feels like we live at the vet so any help or insight is greatly appreciated!

Shelf life question about mixed ingredients

I have almond paste in my fridge that I mixed with heavy cream, cocoa powder, and powdered sugar as part of a cake recipe. I mixed this one week ago today. Almond paste is good for a year+ in the fridge, heavy cream lasts weeks, sugar and cocoa are obviously good on the shelf... but now that they're mixed together I'm assuming this changes things, right? I'd like to use this to fill some macarons but they'd be mostly be given away so I need a really reliable source that gives a thumbs up or down. I'm kind of stumped about where to even look for this. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello. I've come up with a few ideas for the new hard mode, as I think that after you get used to game, it's actually very easy. Please keep in mind these are my own opinions based on my own gameplay experience so far. I would love if people could discuss them or tell me their own ideas.

I will rank my ideas from "most important" to "possible idea" from top to bottom, and at the bottom I will list some general things that I think need to be fixed.

Disable loading saves and fast-travelling during fights

I think for casual players it's great that this is possible. But for a hard mode that is supposed to come out, I think it's an absolute necessity to disable this.

Are you gonna fight a Lynel? Save before you start your fight. If you happened to miss a few dodges and end up using more healing items than you would have liked, you can simply load your save from when before the fight starts and get all your healing items back!

The game also really tries to tell you that you need to prepare before you go into a fight. Yet this doesn't always apply. According to the game's rules, if you were so careless as to come too close to a guardian without any gear, you are supposed to die. But instead you can fast-travel away! Did you mess up in an enemy-camp and are overwhelmed? Fast-travel away!

With being able to fast-travel and load saves during a fight there is no real threat about dying. Dying is already pretty forgiving with the frequent auto-saves, but this makes you literally invincible.

Make it cost more spirit orbs to upgrade hearts / armor

The first upgrade should cost the normal 4 orbs. But after that, maybe make it cost 6 or even 8. Now where a normal person would need to clear 24 shrines to get a total of 10 hearts, in hard mode you would have to clear 36 or 48.

Assuming enemies are gonna be harder in hard mode, this makes it a lot more worthwhile to invest in hearts, while at the same time making staying alive more challenging. It also makes sure you want to make a lot more of elixers and food that give you temporary hearts, though I will speak more about that at the bottom of this post.

At the same time it means you're probably gonna invest less in stamina wheels, which means stamina food and stamina elixers become more viable.

Improve overworld bosses, add them at more places, and maybe add more variety

I think right now for casual players the overworld bosses are pretty cool and challenging. But for the hardcore players / pro players, the real challenge is taking any damage at all while fighting a stone talus / hinox.

Stone talus is super easy to dodge, climb on top and then beat the hell out of him.

Hinox you can stasis, shoot the eye, hit him a million times, run away and then repeat.

And even Lynels become not too hard once you get used to them.

I don't think giving them more HP would be the right fix. That would not make it worthwhile to kill them as their rewards are not worth breaking 3 or more weapons. Maybe make their attacks faster, add a larger variety of attacks, or make them do more damage. In my opinion getting smacked by a giant tree by an even more giant Hinox should insta-kill you, especially in hard mode.

I would love to see more overworld bosses in the wild as well, instead of the bunch of random bokoblins and lizalfos you find everywhere.

Slightly improve enemy combat AI

Even in Dark Souls some bosses will be easy after you memorized all attack patterns. But I think sometimes Zelda is still a bit too forgiving, and too much like the previous games. Fights usually go like this in my opinion:

Bokoblin misses Bokoblin: "OH NO I MISSED / HIT YOUR SHIELD, WELL LET ME JUST STAND STILL HERE FOR 5 SECONDS. HERE LINK, NOW'S YOUR CHANCE, FEEL FREE TO HIT ME A FEW TIMES!!! Bokoblin clearly shows he's back in shape and get ready to attack again

I know that there should be some free hits / a stun feature, but right now I think it's too long, even if just by a second. It doesn't feel like the enemy is actually trying to kill you, but if you're just doing some sword practice together. Don't get me wrong, I love the fights though, it's just still a super tiny bit too scripted.

Make it harder to upgrade your inventory slots

Currently my inventory is full of rare, 30+ ATK weapons. In my house I have three displays with the great Fireblade, Iceblade and Shockblade. Do I ever use all these weapons? Never! All I use are the two latest wimpy weapons I picked up from bokoblins to kill other bokoblins. With overworld bosses I only need two stronger weapons.

At the start of your game you might think weapons break fast, but once you find a few korok seeds and do the upgrades you will pretty much have an endless supply of strong weapons. With a lot of upgrades you don't have to think about weapon durability anymore when for example hitting rocks with stasis or mining ore veins because you have those extra spots for sledgehammers.

Also, a thing that was supposed to be a big point about this game during marketing and stuff is how you're supposed to adapt to the styles of different weapons because you always have to use what nature gives you. But this is not really the case anymore when you have a ton of inventory upgrades.

I agree that it will probably be annoying that everytime you will have to throw away weapons from chests because your inventory is full though.

Maybe make the first upgrades cost more korok seeds, like 5-10 instead of just 1?

Make enemies chase you farther (and maybe slightly faster while in "chase" mode)

The game wants you to plan ahead of your adventure. If you see a group of bokoblins right now you can dash through them like Sonic and leave them behind without ever fighting them (because really after a while in the game there's no point). But the game is supposed to be played strategically, you're supposed to sneak around the camp, look for environmental kills etc.

If you get detected I think the enemies should chase you for longer and faster. Making them faster in an actual fight would be too overpowered, just while they are chasing you away from their camp. This way it's more rewarding to be careful and keep a distance.

Another thing is that a lot of enemies spawn at night but you can keep running past them ignoring literally every single enemy that spawns on you. Improving this spawning mechanic (spawning them farther in front of you and making them auto-target you), and them making them chase you farther and faster, will make it so you will be forced to keep check of what time it is, and make it so you will probably look for a fire and wait until morning. Heck it would even make making your own camp-fires more viable.

Nerf the Master Sword

Once you get the master sword you can use it for anything. It pretty much does 1500 damage before it runs out of energy, making it enough to kill overworld bosses for 75%. You can use it for mining, for cutting trees, for hitting rocks with stasis, for hunting, and it will never break and still do a ton of damage!

Possible suggestions:

*Make it break a lot faster. Right now when not glowing it can do roughly 1500 damage before it runs out of energy. Change that to 750 or even lower.

*Make it cost even more than 13 hearts to be able to get it

*Increase recharging time (not really a fan of this myself)

Make flurry rush less overpowered

Just a tiny suggestion. Once you become a pro in combat it becomes easy to flurry rush 90% if not more of all attacks, and it gives you like 8 free hits. That's a lot. That way a fight typically exists out of you doing 16 hits while the enemy strikes only twice, missing you both times. To me that doesn't even sound like a real fight, just like a total beatdown.

General comments

Crafting / cooking

I mostly feel like the crafting / cooking system is too unneeded / underrated right now. I have many, many items in my inventory saying "mix this with some critters to make elixers!". Never have I ever made an elixer because I never needed it.

When I went to fought Ganon I had DEF and ATK raising pieces of meals in my inventory. Yet I didn't really need it, neither did I ever need it in the rest of the world. It doesn't feel rewarding enough to spend time trying to make different kinds of elixers or foods with special effects when the game is easily beatable without all those. Hopefully making overworld enemies harder will fix this a bit.

Enemy scaling

Early game bokoblins feel challenging and cool to fight. But later in the game fighting bokoblins feels like a complete waste of time, arrows, and weapon durability. You get nothing back for it except some monster parts and maybe a chest containing a weapon worse than the ones you already had. I could take them all out flawlessly, but I can just as easily run past them and not waste my time on them.

And neither do they feel hard anymore. You don't need your many healing items, ATK and DEF raising elixers, and your strongest shields and weapons. You need one and a half flurry rush and you win.

If you managed to make it all the way to here after reading everything then you are an awesome person!

Best resource to Learn to Cook

I want to learn the basic fundamentals of cooking so that I can be a better cook at home. Everything from how to use a knives and other equipment properly, how to prep various kinds of foods, how different spices and flavors work together, how to plate, etc.

I'm not looking for a cook book with recipes, but something that'll teach me enough basics that I could put something together with whatever ingredients are available.

What resources would you suggest? A quick google search revealed The Professional Chef textbook for the CIA, but I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks!

Salvaging spoiled, expensive cuts of beef?

I have some short ribs that have been sitting in my fridge since March 1. They're smelling a little funky, but you can't smell it unless you put it directly under your nose. Sell by date is March 5, packed on February 27.

Should I throw them out? It's there a way to salvage them? I was originally planning on grilling them Korean style since they're LA cut, but would pressure cooking or braising them kill more pathogens (if this is a concern)? I'm more concerned about taste than my health.

20 [T4A] - Learning to be Latina

My name is Marcela Lucia Alvarado. I'm a 19 year old girl, currently attending college.

I'll let you in on a little secret. I didn't always used to be a girl. I didn't always used to be a Latina.

I was a white guy. Fair skinned, blonde hair, blue eyes.

I ran afoul of someone or something, and I ended in some sort of hospital... Where they changed me. I was exposed to a number of treatments, both medical and cosmetic. I was put on a diet, and a regimen of hormones. My body hair was burned away. Strange paste was put on my body, and I was put in a tanning bed. I came out with browned skin. My hair was dyed black from it's normal dirty blonde, and eyedrops put in my which turned them from deep blue to brown. I was brainwashed and hypnotized.

Time passed. I was taught many new things, like how to dance, how to apply makeover. My body filled out in a feminine way, and my hair grew longer. I received Spanish lessons, and became very good. I was also given cooking lessons, where I learned all kinds of Mexican dishes.

I could no longer recognize myself, but I couldn't remember my old self, either... I was deemed ready for release, and soon given to a family. I already knew all about them, and they new about me. Soon, I was absorbed into their Hispanic family as one of their own.

Hey! I am looking for someone to play a forced feminization roleplay with me. I enjoy submission and humiliation, as well as more specific things like makeovers, hair-styling, cultural changes, and being dressed up. In this instance, I particularly like the loss of identity, and the idea of a total culture change.

You could play one of the people who transforms me, a member of my new family, or perhaps some who gets to know me, such as a boyfriend. If you would like to play as the dom in this roleplay, please PM me! Thank you for reading!

Hey there! I'm searching for other fellow humans (I'm cool with non-humans too, just fyi) that are willing to share their lives with me. I'm all up for exploring different cultures and learning about the small (and big) things in people's lives - I have a deep passion for talking about the seemingly uninteresting things people do everyday.

I'm majoring in English in Germany but I'm originally from Bulgaria - it's a rather small country, so don't worry if it doesn't ring a bell. I enjoy the occasional glass of wine over a philosophical conversation about the meaning of life, although recently the wine has been omitted and the conversation hasn't been as good - so if you're up for random theories and existential questions, I'm here! I enjoy almost any type of music, and am very excited about people sharing their passion for a certain artist, so I'll be more than glad to have my mind blown by your playlist! I enjoy reading amateur poetry, having small adventures, talking about food, watching cooking shows and going down random rabbit holes on YouTube. I have a great passion for bread, so please be aware that that might eventually come up in a letter, and I'm all up for people making bad puns, so if that's your thing - I'm your human.

I would prefer snail mail, but I'm open for emails too (I'm very good with ignoring my mails though, so you might get the actual "snail" mail experience after all, just a fair warning).

Thanks for reading this!

What to look for in a used Kitchenaid stand mixer

After reading many posts regarding the value of a used kitchenaid mixer and their longevity, I found one on Craigslist in my local area for a price I'm OK with. I'll be looking at it this afternoon and purchasing it if I'm satisfied with it. My question is this: how can I test/inspect it to make sure it's not damaged in any way? I plan on looking at the outside, tilting the head a few times, looking at the attachment mechanism, and running the motor. What else can I do or look for to make sure it's a good buy? For completeness, it's a Kitchenaid Artisan, and it comes only with the whisk. (I'll be buying the other necessary attachments. I was able to lower the price because it was missing them) Thanks in advance for your help! P.S. full disclosure: I tried to post on /r/cooking as well, but unfortunately it wasn't accepted for whatever reason.

Accidentally left potato soup on low in crock pot for 12 hours -.- plz help

So I made this really awesome potato soup 100% from scratch yesterday and the day before. I cooked an entire chicken, cut up the chicken, started making stock from the chicken bones, and while that was cooking i boiled some potatoes, fried up the bacon, celery, onions, and carrots, and put the chicken, bacon, and veggies all in the fridge overnight. I figured I'd throw it in the crock pot the next morning after I made the creamy broth part, and by the time my boyfriend got home from work he could shut it off and it would be perfect. So I make a nice thick milky cheddar cheese soup broth, mix in my home made chicken stock, add some chopped green onions abd fresh parsley and it was FUCKING PERFECT. I tried it. I should have stopped right there and put it in the fridge because I forgot to tell my boyfriend it needed to get shut off and it was literally cooking on low from like noon until 10:30 pm when I got home. The broth is all runny now and you can't really taste the chicken but I'm OK with that I guess, it's not horrible but it thinned out a lot and doesn't have that nice creamy texture. It definitely doesn't taste cheesey. The smoky taste from the bacon kind of overtook the broth, or maybe it's smoky tasting cuz it's burnt? I'm not sure. After working on this for 3 days now I really don't want to throw it out or bring it into work for all the savage vultures I work with to eat, so I'd really like to save this if I can. I'd if I should just make a new cream base and add it to it and see if it thickens up, or just make a roux and add some of the existing stock to it to thicken it up, but now it's not very creamy so idk if it needs more milk or if I should grab some heavy cream...... help me! :(

Travelling to USA soon and I plan to buy 6 Victorinox knifes 10 inches. Is there any way to buy it cheaper (by buying lots of them)?

I know this kind of "sale" is common practice with clothes and eletronics... but there is such thing with knifes?

To be more precise, I'm going to San Diego, if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

What to make with 1 eggplant?

My mom went on vacation, cleaned out the kitchen before she left, and left me with 1 eggplant (as well as a few other staples, such as eggs, cheese, and a bit of bread). I figured I should cook this eggplant before it goes bad, but what should I make?

I'm going grocery shopping tonight so I'll be able to buy additional ingredients. I just need an eggplant recipe that will be enough to serve myself (F, 22) and my brother (M, 24) for dinner tonight. Any good recipes?

m4f Google and Facebook know everything about us. Now they're teaming up to help us find our perfect matches.

In retrospect, it should not have surprised anyone...what else would you expect from the joining of two companies that each knew more about people than the NSA? Of course the first new product offering from the Google/Facebook juggernaut would be a dating service.

Everyone wrote it off at first, like Google+ and Google Buzz before it; how could it be any better than Tindr/Grindr or OK Cupid or Match or E-Harmony? But of course a company that knows you better than you know yourself is perfectly suited to be your matchmaker.

And this was more than just matching people up; the way it did it was almost creepy. The complex algorithms not only determined poeple who would make each other happiest, but also set them up on the most perfect blind dates imaginable.

I held out longer than most. But then my single friends signed up and the pairings started:

"Dude, a ticket to see my favorite band just showed up, and there he was in the seat next to me."

"A topo map with a trail highlighted and a date and time written on it. I met her at the trail head and we didn't stop talking for the whole weekend! We're already planning to do the whole Appalachian."

"The cooking class was a blast...her ratatouille is the best I've ever tasted."

And just like that, they were soulmated, one by one, until hardly anybody had time to hang out with lonely, single me. That was had enough, but then the other dating and hookup services started drying up, accounts disappearing or going inactive in droves.

That's what ultimately did me in; one too many nights "taking care of myself," as it were. I opened the old invitation in my gmail box, held my breath, and clicked the "Accept" button.

We are currently establishing the best possible match for you based on a wide range of factors. You should be hearing about your first date soon.

Kind of anti-climactic I thought to myself, closing the lid to my laptop.

A couple of days later, I came home to find a small package waiting for me. Inside, there's something that looks like a remote car starter with a couple of LEDs on it. The red one blinks intermittently.

The fuck is this? I wonder, pulling out a note card from the box.

You match has the item controlled by this remote. The lights will indicate your proximity to each other: red is out of range, green is in the same room. You should cross each other's paths in a day or two. Push the button and start the love of your life!

In case it's too cryptic, it's a remote control for a vibrating sex toy. I've always thought this kind of public play would be hot, but really it's just an unusual "first date" for two people who really love sex.

The prompt is pretty vague on purpose, but the gist is that she's someone he crosses paths routinely in his day-to-day.

I'm also interested in scenes where there's a glitch and the algorithm makes a match that it shouldn't have.

My hammy flatmate goes on a diet

Long time reader, first time poster yaddayaddayadda

All of this happend about 4 years ago when we first moved in together. We knew each other from highschool, had just started uni and were pretty good friends.

Me: f, 18 back then. About 1.68, 75kg.

NerdGuy: m, 20, about 1.90 and super thin.

HammyGuy: m. 20, probably 1.70 and 120kg. Normally not as hammy as in this tale

We had decided to buy our food together and split the bill eavenly. This had worked out pretty well during the first few weeks with us cooking together sometimes and sharing the food equally, but it all fell apart when HammyGuy decided to loose weight and go on a diet.

He told us beforehand that he'd go on a diet and we were like, 'sure. good luck, bro'.

When we went to buy groceries a few days later HammyGuy grabbed more meat than usual. Most of it was heavily marinated bbq stuff and similar things. Since nothing had changed, I assumed that he'd either cut down on calories or had forgotten about the diet thing. Not my problem, so I really didn't care. Once again we split the bill. It was little more expensive than usual, but we didn't really care since everything was communal.

A few days later HammyGuy wasn't home and one of us - I don't remember who it was - wanted to make himself dinner. For that he used some meat from the fridge. No problem, since all of us had chipped in for it, right?

No. HammyGuy goes on a rant the next day about someone taking his meat.

The fuck?

He proceedes to tell us that he needs it for his diet, so no touchy. He also tells us that his diet is supposed to contain only meat.

What.

NerdGuy and I both give him wtf looks before we go 'fuck that' and tell him to pay for that shit himself. The diet didn't last very long after that.

4 years later he hasn't lost a pound. Instead he probably gained a few.

Adding onions later?

Ok so the way I'm used to do cooking is i put oil in my pan and add onions. I don't even really think about it.

So I brought this curry-paste yesterday and the instructions told me to roast the spices first and so I did and it kinda fucked with my order, causing me to forget to add the onions after I had toasted the spices and only much later did I realize my mistake.

So I went on to adding the onions when the dish was almost done because I was like fuck it, this shit needs onions. And much to my surprise it turned out amazing.

This might not seem like a big deal but it added so much to the dish and it got me wondering if this is actually common practice? I've never come across a recipe that adds the onions later.

Is this a thing or did I just discover something?

Cooking chicken on the stove issue

I'm just putting some canola oil in a sautee pan and cooking boneless chicken thighs (I buy from a meat market on my way home), flipping only once. The oil eventually starts exploding and spraying all over my stovetop. Is there a way to stop this? If I lower the heat too much will the chicken actually cook through? How long and at what temperature should I be doing it? I'm doing, right now, 8 minutes per side at medium heat (though I'm suspicious my new stove's 'medium' is other stove's medium-high).

Me [25 F] with my husband [32 M] 4.5 years, I'm frustrated with him being a stay at home dad

Hi, r/relationships - this is my first post here, but I lurk quite often. This is a throwaway account, obviously.

Edit To make the post more readable. Also, I didn't realize this post was so long, so here's my tl;dr:

tl;dr: Husband is a stay at home dad who has fallen through on his promise to take on the majority of the house work and it's taking a toll on our relationship. How do I have a productive conversation about what I need him to do without him getting offended?

My husband, Bob, and I have been together for 4.5 years, married for 3. We have a 2 year old son together named Larry. Bob is my best friend and we have so many awesome shared experiences together.

Most of our problems began after Larry was born. Because of our work schedules (I worked shitty, inconsistent retail hours, and Bob worked third shift Thursday - Sunday), and the fact that we couldn't afford daycare, Bob was left to watch the baby while I worked (I watching him when I wasn't working). This sometimes meant that he would get off work at 8am and come home to watch Larry without any sleep while I worked 9am - 6pm, and then have to go back to work that night at 10pm. There were plenty of times that I called out of work because he was so exhausted from work the night before that he couldn't watch the baby.

We fought a lot during this time, so I took it upon myself to find a better job with higher pay and better hours. Before long, I accepted a job at an awesome company with a Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with weekends off, at double the pay. Bob stayed at his same job with no plans to look elsewhere. I figured this was his prerogative.

Bob still had the same schedule with Monday - Wednesday off work, so he would watch Larry those days and then we would put Larry in daycare Thursday and Friday so that Bob could sleep during the day and prepare for his night shift. I was the sole care giver to Larry on the weekends since Bob was so exhausted from working. This schedule worked for us and things seemed to mellow out for a while.

In May of 2016 Bob was laid off from his job. He knew it was coming for about a month beforehand and we talked about him applying for other jobs to prepare for the lay off. Well, the time came and he had no other job lined up. We took Larry out of daycare because we could no longer afford it, and Bob became a temporary stay at home parent while he looked for a job.

Honestly, I'm not sure how diligent he was in his job search over the months that followed since I didn't want to nag, but about 3 or 4 months later with no prospects, he confided in me that he had quit looking for a job and would just be a full time stay at home parent. I told him this was fine (because obviously I can't force him to apply for jobs) as long as he took on the majority of the house work. He agreed.

Now, the house work has always been a hot button topic in our relationship. When Bob worked third shift, he was always too exhausted on the mornings after he worked to be able to help out around the house and could do little more than eat and watch TV before he fell asleep. I was understanding for the most part since I know that working during the night and sleeping during the day takes a huge toll on your body.

However, I wasn't as understanding on his off days when he would watch Larry. They wouldn't do anything - just sit around the house and watch TV and make a mess. I would have to come home from work and clean up the house, start a load of laundry, wash the dishes, and take care of Larry since Bob was burned out from watching the baby all day. I am also the parent who gives Larry a bath every night, reads him a book, and puts him to bed. This is how it's always been and Bob only does the nighttime routine if I happen to be having dinner with a friend (very, very rare) or if I'm sick (has only happened once in two years).

Now that Bob has been a stay at home parent for almost a year, I feel like he has not held up his end of the bargain. Most days I get home from work and still have to pick up the house (dishes from the bedroom and living room, smashed up pretzels and bananas in the carpet, kitchen a mess from Bob's cooking during the day, etc.), do the laundry, wash the dishes...all while Bob sits at the computer in the bedroom playing video games. About every other week he will clean the house really well (not the whole house, just the living room and kitchen) and then expect me to praise him and tell him what a good job he did. But he never keeps it up.

We fight more now than we ever have. I feel so frustrated that I took the initiative to find a better paying job with better hours and excel there, and Bob gets to lose his job, not put in the effort to find a new one, and stay home all day and do nothing (obviously he takes care of a toddler, but doesn't leave the house most days, doesn't pick up after himself, refuses to join any sort of stay at home parent club, etc.).

Our sex life has also dwindled because I feel like my needs aren't being met. I know he feels hurt, and like I don't find him attractive anymore, but honestly I just don't feel anything sexual toward him anymore.

I've told him numerous times that I need him to help out more around the house and I'm not comfortable with the current 85/15 split we've got going on, but he gets so offended and says that since I can't see what he does all day that I just automatically assume he does nothing. I understand that staying home with a toddler all day is not fun and is not a vacation. I go out of my way to make sure that Bob gets alone time by taking Larry to a gymnastics class one day per week and taking him out on the weekends without Bob whether it be just to the grocery store for an hour or to my parents' house for a whole day/the whole weekend.

So, r/relationships, what needs to change here? How do I have a productive conversation with my husband that won't end in him getting offended? How do I tell him that I need more support without sounding selfish? Am I selfish?

tl;dr: Husband is a stay at home dad who has fallen through on his promise to take on the majority of the house work and it's taking a toll on our relationship. How do I have a productive conversation about what I need him to do without him getting offended?

Advice appreciated - Mercer Knives

Hi I was sent this direction from a post in r/cooking with the hope that you guys may have some more insight? I'm looking to treat myself and upgrade the mix of knives I've aquired over the years. I have a few Victorinox and a Wusthof. The others are unbranded cheap knives. I have seen a nice looking Mercer set http://ift.tt/2n9BjSv but Mercer is not so much of a known brand in the UK compared to the US. Does anyone have any experience or opinions about these? I'm tempted by a smaller Wusthof set but it looks like I can get more bang for my buck with the Mercer set. With the advice from a couple of users in r/cooking I got would you also concur that a set is not the best way forward?

What I do when I'm bored, hope this will help other like it helped me.

It's quite difficult to not get bored if you have suddenly so much time isn't it? Luckily there are so much things to do to develop yourself. I'll make small achievements by doing the following things which gives so much satisfaction!

- Drawing:

I bought a little notebook and some pencils for less then €/£/$ 5,- and started drawing characters with tutorials. I didn't draw since I was a kid and didn't know where to start. The fact that I'm not very good is positive in this situation; It takes me ages to finish one and time flies. Every time I finish one, which is good enough in my opinion, I'm so proud of myself! These two are my favorite so far.

- Reading:

I love to learn. I think the main reason why I loved weed so much was because it opened a world for me which was so interesting. The fun thing is, that world is still there. Now everybody has it's own interests. Sometimes it hard to find out what they are. The School of Life has loads of short clips which triggers my interests to get to know more about certain subjects. I just finished The Republic from Plato and 1984 from George Orwell. I honestly can't wait to start my next one; Das Kapitalist from Karl Marx. I bought them all in charity shops for less then $/€/£ 5,- each. (And thus donated 15 to a charity!)

- Fixing:

There is always something to fix in my dorms. A loose screw in a drawer, my microwave which makes a funny sound, a wall which needs some paint, a hole in the curtains... too much examples. Wright down a list with things you want to do. Make YouTube your best friend and learn countless new skills. EVERYTHING you need to know is explained by some random person on YouTube.

- Cooking:

Easy one for me since it's a big passion since I was a kid, but I think every human being enjoys good food so why not make it yourself. Again, at charity shops you can buy everything you need to turn into a pretty good cook. All the stuff you need for almost nothing including books for ideas. (Not your knives. Spend good money on knives pls!)

- Helping:

My favourite for last. This opened my eyes. Instead of feeling you waste your time, you can feel like you are changing somebodies life. How? By helping people who can use it. There are countless organisations or platforms where you can find people or animals who need help. Depending on what you like to do ofcourse. Just Google. I wasn't sure what brought me the most satisfaction so I just tried everything out. I discovered that elderly people are cooler then I thought. I combine my love for cooking with this. Instead of the shitty meals a lot of old people get, I make them something nice. Mostly they have loads of experience but just not the safety to do it themselves. I learn so much from them and they get so much energy from my youthful presence. Win-Win!

(- Exercise: I'm still a lazy fuck. That didn't really change. So can't advise much about this. I'm Dutch, so I cycle everyday, but pure for convenience.)

Hope this will help at least one person a bit!

Steam release not sealing.

The last few times I used my Instant Pot I noticed steam coming from the pressure release valve while cooking. I used a knife to pry it up to seal a little better. Anyone else have this happen? Anyone have a fix?

Here's a little story that happened to me recently. And to the attacker, no hard feelings, it's a PVP server.

I'm writing this because it's horde night and I'm waiting it out.

A couple buddies and I were digging out a little base, I was placing the stairs when I noticed a man looking at me. He said hi and it was a pleasant experience, he went off and I thought nothing of it.

I had a forge cooking 24/7 so we had 3 screamers the day before horde night, the man I talked to earlier must've knew we used out ammo and we're rebuilding, because we were logging the chat with information about it.

So this fucker, this fucker I let live, waltzed into my base the next day, on horde day and started firing, he walked past me without shooting, because I was mining iron in the lobby, not looking. I hear a pistol shot, I look around. Nothing. I pulled out my SMG, it had only 10 bullets left, and I look down the mineshaft, I turn around and bam! I see this guy. I didn't know if he was an aggressor, he may have just killed a zombie outside and was seeking shelter. I was wrong, he looked at me and fired, I panicked and ran down the shaft, and aim where I came from, when he popped around I unloaded everything I had into him, he didn't die. I couldn't do anything but get killed.

He didn't destroy my bed before I died, so I re-spawned nearby in a wasteland biome and lured a bear to the base, I hope he was low on ammo and the bear was still there after I died.

So now I've disconnected waiting for the horde night to end while typing this right now.

Now, we're going to relocate, dig really far down, and shoot on sight. This is a valuable lesson, shoot everyone on sight and don't, trust, anyone.

Edit: His mate told me he killed me for my AK gun.. He could've bought it, but he's given me equipment back. also, this server is Pacboughs "No Bullshit AU PVP" server. 45.121.210.112:25000

List of government schemes where Aadhar is compulsory

Lets make a list. I will edit if you add credible sources in comments. Official circulars/notifications are preferred over media articles.

There are so many others too.

Why can the government do it?

✝ Can not find the circulars/notifications on the official website. IF you do, please post it in the comments - I will update it.

✦ No source, but some media reports. If you find credible media reports, please post it in the comments - I will update.

♣︎ Website outdated, but notifications found elsewhere

PS - Also, if I see pedants commenting that it is "proposed or planned" and "they have time"; you will get a piece of my mind. Stay away if you want to have pedantic, academic arguments.

F - 26 - Spain - DppLittleBitch

Hi! Been here for a while now (Maybe i already chatted with you) the other day one member of the DPP linked me his profile and felt that was good tool.

Something to create a first impression so here its mine.

Name: Rocio

Age: 26

Nationality: Colombian/Spanish (Have dual citizenship)

Job: I work as a waitress in a restaurant.

Hobby: Fitness , Dance , Watching movies , shoping , traveling , cooking , my dog... and sex.

Sometimes i think i'm a small creature send by the gods to show these Europeans how sex is mean to be done , you know that latin flavour.

As my RP profile , i know i'm far far from perfection (Some of you wants a super refine english ortography something probably i cant reach , or rich lexical) I usually play as myself or a non-real character (I like to play as comic character or super heroine , feel that i have the same superpowers to save the world but also rise all the cocks behind me) but i'm also here to learn , as everything i do in my life.

I'm also up for nice naughty chat most of the times , so if we dont get to a agreement we can just chat , I dont use phone (I like to have this subreddit as thing to do when i have some free time , not interested in having notifications on the phone popping up) but we can share e-mail , or some pics , i dont really mind aslong as the conversation is nice and interesting

Looking forward to chat with you! :)

New to anal stimulation, please help!

Hey reddit. First of all, i'm using this newly created throwaway account because i have IRL friends following my main account and i don't think they are ready to hear that i enjoy playing with my own anus.

With that out of the way, i'm a young heterosexual (not sure if it matters?) male who recently got in to anal stimulation. I've always been really curious about it but just recently took the big step. I started with sausages and cooking oil and it worked well enough but i was limited in the way i could use it because i had to always hold it with one hand.

I thought i would go about buying myself some real sex toys, and so i did. I went on a Swedish website for sextoys and sorted after popular. The thing is, i got them home the other day and one of them is WAY too big, and the other is a tad too small, it doesn't really satisfy me.

http://ift.tt/2mpsR3h - This is the small one, it's a tad too short and a tad too small in girth.

The other one is that same model but 8 inches. Problem with this one is the girth. I tried my best with lots of lube and LOTS of warmup but it's simply way too big for me.

The other problem i have with them is that they are smooth. I need to feel it go in when i'm thrusting, if you know what i mean.

Basically i just want a Dildo with "veins" or whatever, it needs to be relatively long, atleast 6 inches. A strong suction cup at the bottom and it can't be too big in girth.

I don't think a vibrator or a wand would do it for me. I am turned on by the thought of fucking myself with and in and out motion.

My price range is 35-45 dollars and i live in Sweden.

I apologize for the long text and if i left some important information out. I am actually kind of nervous because this is completely new to me!

Let's face it. I'm an alcoholic.

OK. Time to pay the piper, I guess.

I’m afraid I’m an alcoholic. A fully functioning one. But nonetheless an alcoholic.

For the past as long as I can remember, I’ve had a few drinks (virtually) every night. Some weeks, I might manage as much as two nights per week off, but those have become the exception, not the rule.

Everything is an excuse to drink. I run a successful business, and when I’ve had a good day, I want to celebrate with a drink. When I’ve had a bad one, I want to forget about my day, and unwind with a drink. When the kids are a handful, I want a drink. And when they’re quiet, I want to spend some “quality time” with my wife and have a drink.

When the sun is out, I want to drive down to our local beach bar, and have a drink. And when it’s raining, I want to light some candles and have a drink.

It used to be, I wouldn’t drink before 6. Then, 5. Now, it’s 4. And if I can get away with it (like, for example, on weekends) sometimes it’s earlier. Barbecues have become synonymous with 8-hour boozefests, in which I’ll start drinking at Noon, and only finish when it’s time for bed (or when I pass out drunk for “a quick nap”).

I suspect most of our friends know I’m an alcoholic, or at least suspect it. I’m always the one to pour the first glass, always the one ready to crack open another bottle. I’m generous with alcohol, mostly because I ensure we’re fully stocked before anyone enters the house anyway.

It wasn’t always like this. I used to have a good balance, in terms of drinking. Don’t get me wrong, it was always easy to have a few, or even a few too many. But I never drank every night. I never drank like this.

I started drinking when I was about 15 or so. I worked in restaurants at the time, and often finished at 1 or 2 AM. After that, I’d “unwind” in one of the local bars with a Jack Daniels (neat, with ice). I looked old enough to drink, so no one would ask questions.

Then, I spent a few years working in a club. Every weekend was a real booze fest, and many nights I woke up not remembering how I’d gotten home, who I’d ______ or where my car was.

College made things (slightly) worse, because in addition to Friday and Saturday, there was now also Thursday night clubbing. And the occasional few beers on Monday or Wednesday night with pizza.

Still, I felt completely normal. After all, everyone around me was doing the same. And there were always one or two people who were “worse”, so I could always hide behind that.

After college, things quieted down for a while. I had a partner who didn’t drink quite as much, and I actually managed to split a bottle of wine between two people, and over two nights.

After we divorced, I continued to be “pretty good” about my drinking. I was pretty healthy at the time, and managed to keep it to Friday and Saturday night “drink until you’re pretty drunk, but not wasted”, and half a bottle of wine on Wednesdays.

Then, big time drinking hit. Launching my business was a pretty stressful time, not helped by the fact that we had a newborn. A bottle of wine per night became the norm, and more on weekends. For the first time ever, I actually drank on Sunday morning (of course, hiding it from my wife), to feel slightly better from my godawful hangover from Saturday.

Thankfully, I’ve managed to keep that to a handful of times (morning drinking) in the close to three decades that I’ve been drinking.

After I realised I was drinking WAY too much, I went dry for about three months. I don’t remember it as being particularly difficult. I just stopped drinking, swapped beer for flavoured drinks and continued doing what I’d always done.

We still had parties. There was still alcohol. Food. Fun. The only difference was that the glass in my hand didn’t have alcohol in it. Friends tried to tempt me, but I didn’t give in. Secretly, I felt kind of proud for being able to resist the temptation. And some people told me they admired my choice of not drinking.

Then, around my 40th birthday, I started drinking again. A beer or two at first, very controlled. Then, some wine. Until, for the past 6 months or so, I’ve been drinking on average 5-6 nights per week, and drinking A LOT.

Most nights, I’ll start off with 2-3 pints. Then, a bottle of wine, which I’ll mostly polish off by myself (my wife will have a small glass). Then, I’ll “top up” my buzz with a few sips from whatever liquor is in the cabinet (gin, vodka, …). Oh, and maybe a pre-dinner G&T thrown in, just for good measure.

I’m not a trouble drinker. Worst that’s ever happened was that I slept on the street for a few hours, coming back from a beach party. And managed to get myself locked out my hotel room once, to end up at the reception desk in my boxers, asking if they could let me back into my room (thank God it was a small hotel). And then, of course, there are the “Oh My God, We Got SO Drunk Last Night” moments shared with friends over breakfast on Sunday.

Nothing really bad has ever happened. I never hit anyone. Never crashed a car drunk (in fact, I don’t drive after I’ve been drinking). Never got into a fight.

Instead, I’m the definition of the Functioning Alcoholic. I run a successful business. Live by the beach in a beautiful place with year-round sunshine. I love my job, and make a very, very comfortable living that allows me to live without major financial worries. I have a beautiful family, with two small boys, a loving wife, a cute dog and an adorable little kitten.

I meditate every morning, and practice yoga. Three times per week, I go for a cycle or a run. I do my 10’000 steps every day. I juice every morning. We don’t eat processed foods. I eat veggie several times per week.

As it turns out, drinking is just about my only vice.

Which may make things more difficult. After all, as my inner voice goes, “every man should be allowed one vice”, right ?

My mother was an alcoholic, and died of alcohol-related complications in her mid-fifties. OK, she also smoked, drank soda all day long and never ate a vegetable in her life.

So I must be OK, right ? I’ve had no major health issues in my life, aside from a broken bone or two (from sports, ironically).

Still, I know that if I keep going this way, I will most likely die young, painfully and possibly alone.

There are many reasons I want to quit drinking. My health, as the most important one. The fact that I don’t want my boys to grow up with the image of their father swagging back a few every night (only to repeat the pattern later in life). The fact that I want to lose weight, and look good again. To stop the feeling of not-quite-a-hangover-but-feeling-sluggish in the morning. To know that I’ll live long, happy and healthy ever after.

So why is it so hard to simply stop drinking ? If you’re an alcoholic, you know what I mean. And if you’re not, you’ll never understand.

As I’m writing this, it’s morning. It’s a beautiful, gorgeous day. I can see the ocean from my office, the blue sky and the mountains in the backdrop. I had a 45-minute session on my spinning bike this morning, and our kitten is purring away under my desk.

I feel like a million bucks.

And having a drink couldn’t be further from my mind right now. And yet, it’s kinda there at the same time. Because I know that, later today, the ugly beast is going to come out.

Like clockwork, around 4 PM or so, I’ll start craving a nice, cool beer. Then, another one. Then, make plans for dinner. Maybe a G&T whilst I’m cooking. Another one if I can squeeze it in (and the wife’s not looking). Then, crack open a bottle of wine.

By the time it’s 7 PM, I’ll be lucky if I can remember actually putting the kids to bed the next day.

They say that the first step to beating addiction is realising that you’ve got a problem. Well, I’ve got a problem.

It’s not unfixable. It’s not the end of the world. It’s something that (tens of) thousands, if not hundreds of thousands around the world have successfully overcome. But it’s still a problem. And it’s my problem.

I’m an alcoholic.

(If you’ve read this far, thanks - felt good to get this off my chest).
