With housing, is it worth it to sink all my crafting into one character?

Pretty straightforward question. It seems like now that housing recipes require all trade skills, I should be sinking all of my crafting skill points into a single character (Previously I had them divided--weapon/armor on one, cooking on one, enchanting and alchemy on another). I'm wondering how much it really is worth it to just switch them over... The cooking, enchanting, and alchemy alts are still fairly low level. Is crafting furniture actually viable? I heard folks say it required ridiculous amounts of resources on PTS, not sure if that's been fixed.
