Can I use mostly cherry juice to make a cherry pie?

Working on making cherry pie for family festivities. Got a gallon of cherries from my mother's tree, which she'd stored in the freezer. Discovered that she hadn't pitted them before freezing them. Of course, now that they're thawing, they're quite mushy and pitting them doesn't work nearly as well as when fresh. On the other hand, there's juice everywhere.

I've already pitted about 2c of cherries and I'm pretty fed up with it. Can I just chop up the others, sieve out the pits, and use the pulp/juice in the pie?
