I'm 23 years old, female, 5'4 and my weight goes from 180-185Lbs. I've been wanting to join a gym for a while now. There is a park close to home and twice a week I run on the track. I try to go early (4am) to be alone mainly because I hate running in public. I'm a tad bit anxious and shy. Sadly...I can only run around the track twice before I get winded out. I've just been wanting to adopt a more active lifestyle. I used to walk a lot then I got a car last year so I got a bit lazy.
There is a new 24 hour gym that's a 20 minute drive away and it's in a mall so there's parking. I want to join but when I got a gym membership last year I just got too nervous and embarrassed by getting winded out so fast. These last three weeks I've cleaned up my diet mostly by cooking at home. I work 12 hour days 4 days a week which is why I stopped cooking. I've been doing "meal prep" and it's working pretty well for me.
I know that going to the gym some people are nervous at first..how do I kick the fear of feeling this way? Oh and I should add another plus is that the mall that's 20 minutes away from me is a 10 minute drive from my job. So my plan is to go after work 5 days a week and rest on my days off. I figured an hour each day in the gym will be good for me!
I should also add that the weight I wanna loose is mainly my arm and stomach flab, anyone with any tips are super welcome to give me any. Thank you so much for reading!!
