OT users, what are your strategies deal with the lack of 'presets'?

Hoping I'm missing something here, because this really annoys me about the OT.

If I have a desirable pattern or part in some project, I can't load it in another project without leaving, then copy/pasting between the projects. It would be great if they implemented a preset system to load settings manually.

Particularly annoying example: I get all my midi tracks' CC controllers custom mapped to a drum machine to be a kick ass motion sequencer. IIRC I had to copy/paste track-by-track to get it into a new project, huge PITA. Could copy the part, I suppose, but that will overwrite what you have cooking currently.

Ultimately the only solution it seems is to set up template projects with particular settings ready to go, but you really get hooped if you want to add something specific into an already worked-on project. Have to stop the sequencer, open the other project, copy/paste, etc.

Any tips on how to manage this? Much obliged!
