I will try to make this short so just deal with me here. I am a college student graduating in May 2017. I live on campus with 2 roommates in an apartment (not dorm). I have known one of my roommates since freshmen year, we were randoms assigned together & it worked out great. we were best friends. Her other friend came along my junior year & tbh I am just not a fan of her. (she moved in with us Junior year) Also, she has changed my roommate of 4 years into someone I also sadly cannot stand anymore. Things have recently got pretty bad so I made the decision to move out. One of my roommates is visiting her parents for winter intercession while the other is still living at our apartment for the break. I am also staying with my parents for the break. Over the break I have been talking to Housing to see if I can move into another apartment. Today I received news I was assigned to another building which I was so grateful for. Now, this is where I need advice. When we moved in together I said I could bring the silverware & some pots & pans. (they did not bring any pots/pans) When I move out on Jan. 2, everyone is telling me to take everything that is mine including my silverware & cooking items and to just buy cheap silverware that they can use instead of leaving them with nothing. I wanted to just take some stuff & get the rest of my items in May when the lease is over but everyone is saying thats a horrible idea & i might not get my stuff back & that its much better to just get it all over now & not hope they let me in the apartment in May since i will no longer have a key to it Jan. 2. I do not want to seem like such a horrible person becasue they do not know I will be moving out until Jan 2 which is when I either take all my stuff or not. ADVICE??????
