Hosting Christmas for the first time...

What would you do?

I'm making breakfast for my mom, stepdad and sister, which I did last year and it worked great. Except this year I'm working Friday AND Christmas Eve from 3-11:30pm. I'm making baked French toast and a fruit salad, which I can put together before I leave for work on Saturday.

Then, because my GMIL is in an assisted living now, my husband asked if I could do Christmas dinner, since we always did it at her house. Sure, except when TF am I supposed to make all this food? I was planning on a spiral glazed ham, roasted carrots, mashed potatoes, cornbread, and some kind of dessert. It'll be 8 people not including my kid because he eats like a bird.

BUT THEN I just found out that Cracker Barrel is selling a pre-made dinner that you pick up either Friday or Saturday with a spiral ham, cornbread dressing, cranberry relish, 3 vegetable sides, rolls, iced tea, and 2 pies for 10 people. You just have to heat it all up on Christmas. The thing is, it's $110. Which is more than I would spend on dinner if I make it. But, it saves me the time and stress of cooking. But, what if it's yucky?

I don't know what to do! I am a little stressed out about this whole thing. Any tips from veteran Christmas hostesses? Blaaaahhhhh
