Prime Rib Cook Time?

So I have two prime beef bone in ribeye loins.

One is 4.9lbs.

The other is 4.5lbs.

Im doing the cook for 500 degrees 5 minutes per lbs via http://ift.tt/2hGnpEW

Do I go with a cook time of 47 (9.4lbs) minutes with the total weight of the meat?

My wifes trying to tell me since its two loins I should still just do the math for one 5lb loin. I think shes wrong. I think even tho its two separate pieces of meat the energy required to heat 10lbs vs 5lbs of dense meat will extend the cooking time so we should do the 47 minute cook (then let set for 2 hours).

I could just stick a meat thermometer in the meat but that would be too easy.
