Hi!
Our church is planning a "survival school" program for kids this summer. I am looking for your thoughts on what you would teach (or want to learn) We have the following resource people
[1] Guy who has lived in North Western Canada in tents, in the bush, and in log cabins for 20+ years. He has skills in hunting, fishing, trapping, bushcraft etc. Also spent a year "Urban Camping"
[2] Guy who teaches hunter safety and gun courses.
[3] Someone willing to do "outdoor cooking"
[4] Archery instructor
[5] Lots of regular people who love camping.
Our plan is to do an afternoon kids program (tuesday) and an overnight (friday) in the woods. We may finish up with a 5 day camping trip. I'm looking for ideas and suggestions.
As always, we do these things for free for our community, so we are not a "big budget" operation
